The Philippines is an archipelagic country consisting of over 7, 600 islands which are situated in the western Pacific Ocean. This is a Southeast Asian country and among tourist, this is one of the cheapest countries in Asia. The capital of the Philippines is Manila but the most populous city is Quezon City. As there are plenty of places to visit in here, the most challenging decisions you have to make as a traveller are to selecting what are the best places to visit in the Philippines and from which island to start the journey. By representing the different regions of the country, the Philippines is dived into three parts namely Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. The Philippines has a tropical and maritime climate with an average yearly temperature about 27ÂșC. As this county is surrounded by the Pacific Ocean, here you can find the most beautiful beaches in Asia. Let us begin the journey now.

Siquijor is a small island that is famous for its mountain-dwelling mangkukulam (healers). To travel around this island you have to hire a vehicle as there is no method of transportation here. In this island there are many beautiful waterfalls and beaches, Salagdoong beach is the best of them all.

In the Philippines, Cebu is the most visited tourist destination mainly because it has the best diving and snorkelling spots. Oslob is famous for whale shark watching and you get a chance to swim next to them around 45 minutes. It is an amazing experience you can gain for your lifetime. Tumalog falls is one of the eye-catching places in Cebu that is only 20 to 30 minutes away from Oslob. If you come to Oslob do not forget to visit Tumalog falls.

Bohol Island is in the Philippines’ central Visayas region and it is one of the best places to feel the natural beauty of the Philippines. Here you can find one of the most unique natural creation, Chocolate Hills in Carmen. This is a UNESCO protected site and here you can see tiny Tarsier primate.

Balabac, Palawan

Balabac is a group of island in Palawan with the best beaches you can find in the Philippines. There are around 31 islands in Balabac and some islands are still undiscovered by tourists. If you are a beach person Balabac is the best spot for you. These beautiful islands are surrounded by crystal clear water and white sand beaches. Here there is a beach called pink sand beach at Camiaran Island with pink shaded sands that will definitely blow your mind. Balabac is not quite easy to reach. So if this is your 1st time to the Philippines, my suggestion is not to add Balabac to your destination list.

If you want to travel back in time and feel the beauty of a Spanish-colonial town, Vigan is the best place you can find in Asia. This town is a well preserved and a UNESCO world Heritage site with very old churches and buildings, horse-drawn carriages and many more historical sites.

If you wish to swim with sea turtles, Apo Island is the best place for that. Apo means sea turtles. This is a protected marine sanctuary.

El Nido, Palawan

El Nido in Palawan is probably one of the most heavenly looking places in the entire world. Here you can find hidden lagoons, white sand beaches and limestone mountains that are fully covered with green. Because of the beauty and attractiveness of this place, El Nido became one of the popular destinations in Asia. Here there are island tours namely A, B, C, D and E, among them tour A and C are the best. Taraw Cliff in El Nido is quite a dangerous cliff, but the view up there is amazing. You can see the entire El Nido up in the cliff. I recommend you to go there with a guide.

As I mentioned above Manila is the capital of the Philippines. This city is filled with architectural monuments of Spanish era like Fort Santiago, San Agustin Church and Manila Cathedral. Metro Manila includes the main airport and massive shopping malls. Some tourists don’t like to stay much time in Manila. It all depends on your likings. So I suggest you to at least have a quick look around the city Manila before you leave the Philippines.

These are an only hand full of places that show you the real beauty of the Philippines and these places are the best places for the tourists who visit here for the small holiday. If you are hoping to visit the Philippines, add these places to your bucket list.
